Borrowed from the Boys

There's something appealing about combining feminine pieces and pieces borrowed from the boys... Let's talk about the white Converse chucks (high tops) in particular.  White sneakers are a major trend since who knows how long now!  These classic beauties are probably my favourite kicks to match with almost anything, I mean almost anything from shorts, skirts, jeans, and dresses. Yes, even dresses are no exception.  It's a matter of pairing them and putting the pieces together to make it look cohesive.

I have quite a collection! -- 5 pairs (high tops and low ones) to be exact! Shocking! I know! My active job requires them... when you're a preschool teacher you are constantly moving around.

For this post, I combined two contrasting styles: feminine & tomboy.  As you can see, I chose a more sexier feminine pieces to pair with my white high top Converse to balance out the "Pretty Boy" look I was aiming for.

Off-The-Shoulder Lovin'

Off-the-shoulder tops are making its way into the spotlight.  Whether completely exposed, lacey, floaty or fitted silhouette; this feminine top hits the spot.  Paired mine (It's been sitting in my closet for maybe over 5 years!) with a fitted ripped jeans for that modern edgy look.
