Casual Vibes at Work

We all know kids are very active and curious....that is why working with children requires outfits that are comfortable (as a teacher you are always on-the-go) and professional.  I chose this outfit to wear to work because it shows that I can still pull-off a look that is comfy, professional yet stylish.

Who Doesn't Love a Goooooood Sale? My Wishlist.

A lot of times I find myself shopping at department stores, not only it's a one-stop destination for almost EVERYTHING you need! But most of the time it carries a few of your favourite lines/brands under one roof.

I find myself wandering into department stores like:

It's a great department store that carries some of my favourite brands like: Free PeopleJoieRachel ZoeAsh and Derek Lam

I love shoes and who wouldn't even love them more when they're on sale?!  I would like to present to you my wish list... I know, I know, I've been bad and bought 4 pairs in a span of 3 weeks (bought 2 pairs in Vietnam & 2 pairs since I came back. eeekk!)  But hopefully in a few weeks or so and if these sales last I would definitely reward myself with another one! LOL  Hey, as what they all say, "A girl can never have enough shoes."

My Shoe Wishlist:

* I am a obsessed with booties and I have about a few pairs... These Ash Jalouse Suede Cowboy booties hits the spot.  Versatile pair that goes well with almost anything, from jeans to shorts, dresses to skirts.  As we all know suede is taking centre stage!--- keeping up with the 70's trend theme.

*Okay, I've been eyeing on mules since last year...but finding the right pair is a tough one! These ones from Rachel Zoe Seneca Mules are made with modern inset metal detail that totally sets
them apart!

Joie Alek Fringed Suede Heels

*The 70's theme is undeniably everywhere lately from suede, to lace, to corduroys, to bootcut jeans and fridge... yes, the fridge. They add a character to every shoe and I love it!

*Lastly the Rachel Zoe Izzy Flat Leather Sandal, these bad boys have that edge to them with the  zipper detail in the front for some fun touch.

There you have it, my shoe wishlist... these sales don't last long so I have to really think about which ones I love the best.  And yes, I'll take only one pair this time. (:

Sweater Weather

Wearing jackets has to be my least favourite piece to wear.  Number one: It feels restricting and number two: I get hot too fast!  I would prefer a sweater or any light jackets if I have to; even if it means I have to freeze my butt off!  Today was an exception though, luckily, Vancouver weather has been nice to us lately...

It's good to invest in a good sweater like this one from Talula by Aritzia.  This is such a versatile piece to own in your closet.  You can either dress it up or dress it down.  I chose to style it casually for this post and greys tones to keep up with the subdued colour scheme.  I finished the outfit with some leopard slip-ons for some punch!

Rips & Layers

Cooler weather like this calls for layers, layers, layers!  It totally adds an extra oomph to any outfit, I particularly like to layer sheer fabric tops dress shirts under crop tops or sweaters.  Layering an outfit this way is a great way of keeping your outfit sophisticated and chic. To finish, I added some ankle boots and ripped jeans for that cool and grungy feel.

Winter Style

Winter is in full effect here in Vancouver; thought the sweater dress along with the leather jacket suffice but boy I was so wrong! This has been the coldest photoshoot I've done! I would totally wear this outfit in a milder weather though.  A casual leather jacket with a sweater dress hits the spot.  I love an oversized leather jacket which makes more room for layering.  And over-the-knee-high flat boots adds a flare to the outfit.

Winter Sweater

This camel colour cardigan is my ultimate fave at the moment! The colour stands out and i love it's soft knit cut long for a draped feel; it's finished with gold embellishments for a fun touch.  I styled this look for a more casual day time look.

Winter Wonderland

It's been a while since the last time I blogged; hence, my blog is somewhat neglected.  A typical day for me would consist of: work, cook, meal prep and work out-- then repeat.  I wish I had all the time in the world to include blogging as well. *sigh

Anyway, here are some recent pictures I've taken in this cold winter wonder land!
